Drumeba is a startup company with vast potential in therapeutic, educational, and entertainment systems for people with neural disorders – especially children affected by autism spectrum disorder. The system and the company are the result of a project undertaken by a team at the Candian Film Centre’s Media Lab. As the project’s importance became apparent, Drumeba’s partners created a company and (with support from the MaRS Discovery District) engaged NetGain Partners to help create its first business plan. The Drumeba system continues to progress towards market readiness and has aroused interest among investors. Extremely positive clinical trials, lab tests, and continual design improvements make this a potent new entry into a huge and growing area of social need as rates of ASD diagnoses continue to rise.
